Also known as juvenile diabetes, type 1 can develop in people of all ages and can have a very serious impact on the overall quality of life and other issues for children and adults.
It is a syndrome associated with unstable metabolism and overly high blood glucose levels because of a deficiency of insulin being produced and secreted by the pancreas.
Some resent statistics idicated that Type 1 diabetes accounts for 5 % to 10 % of all diagnosed cases. Diabetes is the main cause of kidney failure, limb amputation and new onset blindness. It also is a major cause of heart disease and stroke.

Juveniles can experience mental illness as frequently as adults, but many times they don’t express or explain their conditions. Child Aggression is a form of mental illness characterized by aggressive behavior, lack of proper impulse control, and general ill temper.
Since Zyprexa is prescribed for adults suffering from many of the similar symptoms of aggression and anxiety, many doctors prescribe it to combat identical conditions in children.
Unfortunately there have been 288 diabetes cases reported in Zyprexa patients, with 23 of them resulting in fatalities.
Children shouldn't have to suffer because of a lack of warning. Don’t let huge pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly get away with insensitivity towards consumer safety. Only extensive litigation will force the industry to be more vigilant in researching potentially harmful side effects and warn consumers about these risks.
