Kerry Steigerwalt

Kerry L. Steigerwalt has practiced criminal defense law in San Diego since 1984. In 1990 he founded his own firm which has now grown to include three full time associates, several affiliated attorneys and a staff of paralegals, law clerks, investigators, case managers and other support personnel.

Mr. Steigerwalt has not only litigated major civil cases, but is one of San Diego's most well-known criminal defense attorneys. He has defended clients against capital murder charges and many "Three Strikes" cases, as well as virtually every other form of felony prosecution including armed robbery, sex offenses, assault, major financial crimes and federal securities investigations, fraud and drug charges. In addition, he has obtained the unusual distinction of having been awarded a not guilty verdict for murder for clients in every court house in San Diego County.

Mr. Steigerwalt has been featured on "48 Hours," "Court TV," "The O'Reilly Factor," "Fox News" and in the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, People magazine, numerous national and local news reports and acted as a legal consultant on dozens of television and radio programs. Specifically, Mr. Steigerwalt was the legal analyst for KUSI during the Westerfield trial in San Diego in 2002.
